About Me
Fourteen years ago, I invented a portable whiteboard, which went on to become Amazon’s #1 selling product in its category.
A year later, I shut down the business.
What went wrong? Why did I quit?
Maybe I wasn’t cut out for the world of entrepreneurship.
That couldn’t be. I was destined to succeed.
I have an MBA from a top 10-ranked university.
I grew up with a father who is a successful serial entrepreneur.
I read hundreds of books on entrepreneurship written by successful entrepreneurs.
I had an obsession to succeed. Yet I failed.
Not once, not twice…
Even with all my resources, it took me 15 years to find a great fit in the entrepreneurial world.
Today, I am doing work that is the highest expression of myself.
In addition to this business, I own two other businesses with annual sales of $5 million, and my income isn’t contingent on my time.
Here’s the thing – it doesn’t have to be this hard or take this long.
The path to finding the right business that you will enjoy and succeed at is actually quite straightforward.
The problem is that you are exposed to so much entrepreneurial content, but there’s no guidance on how to find your path.
It’s like having 100 ingredients but no recipe or steps to make anything.
The second problem is that you matter more than you realize. Let me explain: The only thing you know for certain when you start a business is that you are going to be there, doing the work.
The market may change, employees may come and go. But the only constant in your business is you.
Remember this truth that veteran entrepreneurs know all too well.
Businesses don’t fail – entrepreneurs give up.
So this is my mission…
If you are here, I know one thing about you. You want to have a successful business and be fulfilled in your work. I enjoy my work, and no, it isn’t as simple (or elusive) as finding one’s passion.
It is my mission to show you how to do this.
That’s a big promise, but my journey makes me confident about being your guide.
I can tell you now, I’m no Alex Hormozi, GaryVee, Pat Bet-David, or Mark Cuban.
But I have been an entrepreneur for 15 years, and, most importantly, I really care that you choose the right business to start, so you can be good to yourself, be present with your family, and be a force for good in the world.
One incredible and fascinating thing about humans is that many of us don’t like to see others go through the pain that we went through.
I would hate it if you miss out on the next 10 or 20 years of your life because you were busy trying to be successful.
This is my mission.
“Each person is uniquely qualified at something. They have some specific knowledge, capability, and desire nobody else in the world does. Your goal in life is to find the people, business, project, or art that needs you the most. There is something out there just for you. What you don’t want to do is build checklists and decision frameworks built on what other people are doing. You’re never going to be them. You’ll never be good at being somebody else.”
